Bitty Baby Sailing Set Question

Thank you for checking Virginia. [img]smile.gif[/img] Those are the same markers we got with our set. I wonder why some sets had crayons and some markers? [img]graemlins/wonder.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/thinking.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img]

Now I wish we got the markers. They sound much nicer than the crayons.

LOL...ubarose!! The markers are cute but not original to the set. Maybe that is what AG thought, that they looked nicer so they changed them from crayons to markers.

I just checked ebay and all the auctions I saw for the sailing outfit come with crayons. So I wonder if those are older or newer ones that people just got on sale and when they switched to markers? We've only ever gotten crayons with Bitty outfits. When our sailing outfit came a week or so ago it was missing the crayons (or markers), the coloring book and boat so I sent it all back. They said they had no replacements cause it was sold out [img]frown.gif[/img]

I wonder when AG switched from crayons to markers, or if some outfits are packaged with crayons and others with markers. This is strange because I know that we have an older outfit (probably a couple of years ago) and we got the markers.

Does anyone remember when the Sailing Oufit first came out?

It must have been sometime in 2000. I just checked my old catalogs and it is not in Holiday 1999, but is in Holiday 2000; and it doesn't list it as "New." It is also in Spring 2001, Fall 2001, and Spring 2002 - all with crayons! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Thanks for checking, Jeanette. [img]smile.gif[/img] I don't think I got it from the Holiday 2001 catalog because it seems more like a spring/summer outfit. I think I must have gotten it in Spring 2001 or Spring 2002 (and got markers with it). I must have not noticed when I received it that I got markers instead of the crayons that were listed in the catalog. [img]eek.gif[/img]
